NSUUK Celebrates the Launch of Two New Nigerian Societies; Loughborough University and City University London Nigerian Societies

The Month of March 2013 was undoubtedly a fulfilling one for NSUUK as two new Nigerian Students’ society were launched and joined the ‘family’. The first at Loughborough University and the second at City University London.

The 1st of March 2013 was an historical day at Loughborough University as Nigerian Students came out in their beautiful Nigerian outfits to celebrate the Launch of their Society. The event theme was – Education and limitations for Social change in Nigeria. Invited Speakers challenged the Students to make most of their new platform for change and continue the great work they had started even beyond their University year’s.

In a similar event , the 19th of March 2013, Nigerian students at City University London launch their Nigerian Society. The event was tagged – ‘Arise O Compatriots’ and focused on encouraging Nigerian students to unite, share their positive skills and ideas towards development of themselves and Nigeria Our Great Nation.
The Founder, My Oluwaseyi Olamiti and Mr Yemi Soile (Founder & Head Coordinator NSUUK) spoke on the issues and problems affecting the growth and development of Nigeria and how Nigerian Students in the UK and Diaspora could help effect change in their own little ways.
