NIGERIAN YOUTH AND STUDENTS IN THE UK SUCCESSFULLY HOLD “#BRINGBACKOURGIRLS” RALLY IN LONDON !!!

On Friday, 9th of May 2014,   a peaceful protest was held in London, in front of the Nigerian High Commission by a group     of  Nigerian Youth and the Nigerian Students Union UK.  The protest tagged “#BringBackOurGirls Solidarity rally” saw a huge number of Nigerians resident in the UK turn-out to support the cause. The organiser’s stated before the event _MG_4006 Bring Our Girls Back_Protest_London_9May2014_Sync PHOTOSstarted that      they had called on international media bodies and UK government ministers to support the group in order to put more pressure on the Nigerian Govt to act more swiftly and help release the kidnapped Chibok school girls from the claws of Boko Haram.

In attendance were some high profile personalities like MP David Lammy (Member of  British Parliament for Tottenham), Dj Abass of DJAMUSIC, Kayode Ogundamisi (human rights activist), Funmi Iyanda (award-winning journalist and TV personality), Yemi Soile (Founder, Nigerian Students’ Union United Kingdom), May-7 (UK Afrobeats Artist, and Daniel Olukoya (C.E.O Sync Media).  Also in attendance were SKY news reporters, CNN, BBC, Aljazeera, Arise TV amongst many others, for media coverage.
